Isabella always says that iWindsurf over reports the lulls, that a lull of 12, say, is really more like 9. Here is proof! The detail graph shows the major lull that made me think It’s Over! I could have—should have—stayed out a little longer.

The best thing about windsurfing in Berkeley is that you can rig anything you want! You’d think I’d have been underpowered on the 11th with the 5.1, but that Hansen sail has a great bottom end! It takes me upwind even on the wavy FSW board.

I took this photo on a December evening from the room where I stay at my parents’ place. It was calm that day with big waves.
This visit there were little waves and good wind most every day, September 2 through 9, but I didn’t have any equipment. Mom complained about the wind!

My new fat windsurfing board, the Goya, really spins with the MFC 25! I do find riding that little fin to be tiring. It requires a different stance and so far I’ve adjusted mainly by standing forward of the straps. I rarely get my back foot in.
