The Berkeley Bratz sailed out of Marina Bay, across the “bay” from Point Isabel. When the wind is WSW you sail between the two launches. When the wind is South, Point Isabel is upwind. When the wind is West, Marina Bay is upwind. The graph looks miserable, but the wind was good, especially in the middle.
I was ready to go when that spike happened, about 2:30, and I thought, I’ll be POWERED! Then came the lull and I hesitated. Just as I was getting to the water, a puff came through and I waterstarted and planed away!
