It was a lovely day in Berkeley—a rare day I can ride my bike without a jacket, not even a shirt! The wind didn’t last long, so I went swimming!

Heat Haze on the Water Indicates Sketchy Windsurfing Wind at Berkeley

The wind was looking good, then got majorly funky. Sailing, I could see the heat haze on the water spreading from the Golden Gate past the Headlands and across the Bay. (The heat haze is a thin fog that forms just above the water when it’s a hot day.)
