Thursday we had more north wind, not the best for windsurfing because it’s gusty. I’ve sailed enough in the north wind not to get excited. Below are three charts, each showing “nuke & puke” (pronounced nUk & pUk) conditions—wide variance between gusts and lulls—requiring the sailor to jump in and out of footstraps and harness at a second’s notice. If it does anything, it teaches reading the water and reacting quickly!
